Guide for the selection of ceramic fiber blankets for high temperature pipe insulation

Pipe insulation refers to the application of an insulation layer on the surface of a heating pipe or a heat pipe to reduce the ineffective heat loss of the heat medium during transportation, and to maintain a certain parameter of the heat medium to meet the user’s needs. The emission rate of the emission is slowed down.

Insulation measures are required for heating pipes in cities or heat pipes in high temperature industries.
Pipe insulation materials require the following properties:
 
1) low thermal conductivity; 2) fireproof and non-combustible; 3) anti-corrosion and anti-aging; 4) high temperature resistance; 5) good thermal insulation effect.
 
Selection of pipe insulation materials:
 
    Reasonable selection of pipeline insulation materials is particularly important for effectively reducing the heat loss of the heat medium during transportation and saving fuel consumption.
 
    Ordinary heating pipes can be made of rock wool as insulation layer, rock wool fireproof is not flammable, temperature is 400-500 degrees, which can fully meet the needs of ordinary heating pipes;
 
    Ceramic fiber blankets can be used as thermal insulation layers for heat pipes in the high temperature field. The ceramic fiber blanket has a high porosity and is a pure inorganic product. It is more closely attached to the pipe wall and has a high usage rate in pipe insulation.

Pipe insulation thickness description:
 
The greater the difference between the medium temperature and the ambient temperature in the system, the greater the thickness of the ceramic fiber blanket; the less the air of the engineering system is circulated, the greater the thickness is selected.
Bundling of insulation:
 
The ceramic fiber blanket insulation layer is bundled with 14~16# zinc iron wire, and the bundling distance should not exceed 200mm.
