Shandong Zouyu refractory insulation material is very strict for the control of raw materials of ceramic fiber blanket. In many years of application of ceramic fiber materials, it is often found that the actual temperature does not exceed the temperature range of the material, but the fiber material produces severe shrinkage and chalking.

We have found that the Al2O3 in the product meets the product requirements, while the SiO2 is low, and the impurities such as Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O are seriously exceeded.

These substances are low-melting oxides, and the excessive melting point oxides will lower the eutectic point of the ceramic fiber material. If the content of impurities other than Al2O3 and SiO2 reaches 3.5% or more, the ratio is controlled within 1%, which will actually make the ceramic fiber material. The use temperature is reduced by nearly 100 °C.

Therefore, when we choose ceramic fiber materials, we must not only check the composition of Al2O3, but also strictly control the content of other impurities.

    Shandong Zouyu refractory insulation material has no one-sided pursuit of too low or too high bulk density. The ceramic fiber itself consists of Al2O3 and SiO2. Its heat capacity is basically the same as that of refractory brick products, but fiber products such as felt and carpet are made by fiber interlacing method. The air loose cell structure is formed, and the capacity of the product is greatly reduced, and the thermal conductivity is changed.

The thermal conductivity of the fiber product with a bulk density of 150-250kg/m3 is about 20% of the thermal conductivity of the heavy-weight brick of 2070Kg/m3; it is about 37-40% of the thermal conductivity of the lightweight brick of 1300Kg/m3.

The bulk density of the fiber product is in the range of 150-250 kg/m3. As the bulk density increases, the thermal conductivity decreases gradually, and the heat loss is gradually reduced.

However, with the increase of the bulk density, the structural performance of the empty loose unit is also reduced. When the capacity is greater than 400kg/m3, the thermal conductivity increases, and the heat storage loss increases, and the comprehensive energy saving is reduced. When determining the bulk density of ceramic fiber products, we must fully consider the content of slag balls.

The slag ball content in the product is an important factor affecting the bulk density. The bulk density of the slag ball is 2800-3200kg/m3. The excessive content of slag balls in the fiber products will reduce the comprehensive energy-saving performance and damage the interests of users.

In foreign countries, the content of slag ball with particle size > 0.25mm is controlled at ≤ 5%. However, due to the limitation of fiber manufacturing technology, the content of slag ball is controlled at ≤ 15%, that is, nearly 1/8 of fiber products is slag ball, which is higher than abroad. The content is doubled.
