The biggest advantage of ceramic fiber blankets in building kiln is its low density.

The biggest advantage of ceramic fiber blankets in the construction of kiln is its low density, less than 0.2g/cm3.

Therefore, the ceramic fiber kiln can achieve a maximum energy saving effect of 30 to 35%, and can achieve rapid firing and achieve a very high thermal efficiency utilization rate. It is the most obvious sign of technological innovation and product innovation of building sanitary ceramics in recent years.

At present, the number of batch kiln with ceramic fiber blankets is increasing. The linings are all made of intermittent kiln with 98% alumina fiber. The temperature can be as high as 1600 °C.

Due to the good insulation effect, the heat dissipation temperature of the outer wall can be lower than 60 °C.

Generally, the kiln wall of the intermittent kiln has a total of six layers, and the outermost side is a 3 mm thick low carbon steel plate.

The second layer is a 50 mm thick asbestos board.

The third layer is a 25 mm thick ceramic fiber (density of 64 kg/m3).

The fourth layer is a 25 mm thick fiber with a density of 98 kg/m3.

The fifth layer is a fiber having a density of 128 kg/m3, the innermost layer is a ceramic fiber having a thickness of 25 mm and a density of 128 kg/m3, or an evacuated fiberboard is used.

At present, due to the technical maturity of the pure fiber kiln lining furnace, the type of kiln using fiber plus some other refractory materials is reduced.
